April Ideas

Excited about the Discontinued List coming out this week?  Check it out on April 21st!!!
It’s always bittersweet for me.  I love doing some ‘spring cleaning” in my stamp room when I get to take out the old…..and always look forward to a shiny, clean, new catalog to drool over!  This month for my stamp nights, I plan to highlight things going out.  I haven’t picked my projects yet….you know I like to fly by the seat of my pants sometimes! ;)

My upline posted this project the other day and I am excited to "CASE" it!  Thank you, Pat!

Thank you, Missy, for the sweet roommate gift from Leadership!    I was planning to use my Leadership pictures to make myself a book, but you know how things change!  Insert Flat Stanley project #2!
I wanted to do something a little different for this FS project than my first one.

I think I’m done with Flat Stanley for a while….

Happy Stampin’!

Easter S'Mores and Flat Stanley

S'mores for Easter and another Flat Stanley!
I love being able to share my love for papercrafting and Stampin' Up! any chance I get!  So, when I was browsing Pinterest with a fellow 2nd grade teacher and came across a cute little cello bag treat we could make for our students, I jumped at the chance!  I showed all our teammates what the plan was and they all were on board!  They are not part of any craft group or club, just people I see every single day--I secretly hope one day they will want to join! ;)
So, the Sunday before Easter, we all came together at my house and the crafting began!  I had prepared the Top Note bag toppers beforehand and punched, stamped and watercolored the little image, so they'd be dry and ready to go.
Everyone pitched in and we were done with 100 in under an hour!

The kids loved them!  It was fun working with my team on something that wasn't a lesson plan!  lol

I just recently finished a Flat Stanley project for one of my cousin's sons.  If you are not familiar with Flat Stanley, you must look it up!  Cute story!!  Well, I must have really done a great job, because another cousin (brother to the mother of the first Flat Stanley kid) asked me to do their daughter's Flat Stanley project!!!  ahhhh!  ;)  Now I have to top what I thought was my one and only!  lol  I need to make this scrapbook a little larger as her Flat Stanley is unfolded and laminated!  Gianna's note to me said to PLEASE take care of him and return him in the same condition!
So, a new adventure begins.....luckily, Flat Stanley #2 arrived the day we left for our annual trip to Florida!
I will close with a few photos of what Flat Stanley has done so far on our vacation! ;)

On a side note, another cousin's girlfriend started up this company making amazing jewelry (see picture above) using sand from all over!  Each piece is unique and marked with which sand from which beach was used.  :)  Check out her website if you'd like and let her know Denise sent you!  She even will do custom orders!  I already have plans for a friend's birthday!

The last is Easter Sunday's sunset at Siesta Key Beach, FL........
Family photo on Easter taken with Tyler's new GoPro!

Until next time.....
Happy Stampin'!

Leadership 2015

I am still feeling like I am just returning from Orlando and what a jam packed, laugh a minute, emotional time it was!
Arrival in Orlando!!  Still wearing a scarf, but hoping for some vitamin D!!
After arriving, I got a shuttle to the condo and met my roomies and friends at the pool!  Yay for sunshine!!
We decided to give roomie gifts...I chose not to do traditional swaps--rather, I didn't have the time to put into them this time around. So, I wanted to do something special that I have had on the back burner for a while.  I love to paint, I love to papercraft, so I put the two things together to create my gift!
Each one turned out a little different.  I was really happy with them!  I made one for my bff for her birthday and one for myself, too!
I used the new DSP Painted Blooms from the Occasions Catalog.  Love, love, love this paper!

The excitement of attending a Stampin' Up! event is more than I can put into words!  I love the energy and happy feeling--it's like a family reunion...with 1600 of your closest family members!

One of the fun parts of any event is FREE products!!  You might also be one of the lucky PRIZE PATROL winners!

That's Greg--a SU! employee.   (I took this just for you, Erin!) ;)

One of the things that pulled me to Orlando was being able to attend the Manager's Reception at Hollywood Studios at Disney!  We arrived after regular park hours, watched Disney's Fantasmic, rode The Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollercoaster!  And, did it us right with Disney dessert tables lining Sunset Blvd! Oh, and had a few photo opps, too!!

Shelli Gardner is an amazing woman!  All I heard her ask was if everyone was having a good time, if they did take a picture, were they happy with the way it turned out.  She spoke to everyone and truly was a gracious host!
Some other highlights of Leadership were the bags, the classes, and the fun!

One of the most awesome demonstrators I have ever met has to be Suzy Miller!  She has this magnetic personality and I loved watching her on stage at SU! events.  Her life has taken a turn of events and several years ago she was diagnosed  with ALS.  She will continue to be a part of our events, even if not there in person..... <3 to you, Suzy!!  And, she's a fellow North Carolinian!!
Another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at a SU! event is the chance your name might be called for a game or prize!  Well, it just so happened that one of my roommates was chose for a "game show" on the last day!!  And the best part.....she WON!!!

I love the view from the plane...one of the reasons I love a window seat!
Leaving FL and returning to NC.....big difference!

Sorry I have been absent from the blog!  I have been posting regularly on another blog as a guest.  Why can't I just copy and paste from one to the other??  Is it always an ordeal???  why????

Rant over---I just need to learn to deal with it!  :)

Happy Stampin'!
